Getting started in film is a little different than my story of getting into photography. I didn’t have any friends who filmed or even knew much about it. When I was a freshman in high school, I thought about learning more, but my family moved and I chose to stick with band instead. Little did I know, I would never get better at the flute…oh well :). My mom encouraged me to take an IT class. Of course, my first choice was a film class. That was the beginning of my love for film. I began to see how much work was put into films with the preproduction, the filming, the props, and the editing. I loved it all from the start. I began with stop motion and short films, and then progressed to animation. I have a variety of experience from filming weddings to filming kids running around at camp. I have loved every minute of it, and continue to learn more every day.
